General Information

The Annual Competition on Scientific Writing (ACSciting) is an annual scientific writing competition for university students organized by Universitas Pertiba in collaboration with Yayasan Meira Visi Persada. Entering its second year in 2025, ACSciting adopts the theme “Innovative Pathways to Sustainability”, aiming to explore creative and visionary solutions for global sustainability challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. The competition covers fields including Law, Economics, Education, Management, Technology, Humanities, Engineering, and Informatics.

Theme: “Innovative Pathways to Sustainability”

The expected papers for ACSCITING 2025 should align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by presenting research-driven discussions that contribute to global sustainability efforts. In line with the theme “Innovative Pathways to Sustainability,” submissions should focus on innovative solutions that address critical sustainability challenges across various disciplines. Papers should explore interdisciplinary approaches that integrate science, technology, policy, and social innovation to promote sustainable development. Key discussion areas may include:

  1. Sustainable Economic Growth (SDG 8, SDG 9) – Proposing economic models that foster inclusive and sustainable industrialization, ethical business practices, and the transition to a green economy.
  2. Clean Energy & Climate Action (SDG 7, SDG 13) – Examining advancements in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and policies for climate resilience.
  3. Quality Education & Sustainable Communities (SDG 4, SDG 11) – Discussing how education, smart cities, and innovative governance can drive sustainable development.
  4. Environmental Sustainability & Responsible Consumption (SDG 12, SDG 15) – Addressing waste reduction, circular economy strategies, and biodiversity conservation.
  5. Equity, Health, and Social Justice (SDG 3, SDG 10) – Exploring the role of technology and policy in reducing inequalities and improving public health.
  6. Technology & Digital Innovation for Sustainability (SDG 9, SDG 17) – Highlighting how AI, big data, and digital transformation can optimize resource use and foster international collaboration.

Papers should provide data-driven insights, case studies, and innovative frameworks that align with the SDGs, offering scalable and impactful solutions for a sustainable future. By encouraging interdisciplinary research and real-world applications, ACSCITING 2025 aims to empower the next generation of scholars to drive global sustainability efforts effectively

General Requirements

a. Participant Requirements:

  1. Active university students (proven with a valid Student ID Card).
  2. Participants from Universitas Pertiba as the host institution.
  3. Participants from partner universities acting as co-hosts.
  4. Participants from other Indonesian universities.
  5. Participants from international universities.

b. General Requirements

  1. Each team consists of up to 5 (five) members.
  2. Each team may submit only one article.
  3. Universities/colleges may submit more than one team/ article

c. Article Guidelines

  1. The article must be an original work by the team and not plagiarized (similarity max 20%).
  2. The article must not be influenced by emotions or subjective issues.
  3. The article must not contain elements of ethnicity, religion, race, or intergroup issues (SARA).
  4. The article must be supported by accurate and accountable data and information.
  5. The article must not have been submitted to any other competition or published in any medium
